AJJ - African Women/Afrikkalaiset naiset

We can and we do
I got at last energy to do up in order my cupboards (the Spring is coming) and found an old cushion, which I have bought from an African shop long time ago.
It is embroidered with many kind of handcraft embellishments.
The lovely thing is now in so bad condition that I got an idea to cut the the embroideries from the cushion and use them in my art works.
So I made the background for this mixed-media AJ-page with texture, which I did with a napkin, a net and self-made Mod Podge.
I used a bit a white pen and then adhered some of the embroidery pieces onto it.
I found the African woman-image, which I used from the Internet and addes it digitally to my work. My text was edited in PSE.
I link this AJ-page to Art Journal Journey 02/2015
'Birds, beasts and humans'.

Me osaamme ja me teemme.
Sain vihdoin energiaa alkaa siivota vaatekaappeja (kevät on tulossa) ja löysin vanhan huonossa kunnossa olevan sohvatyynyn, jonka olen ostanut kauan sitten afrikkalaisesta kaupasta.

Ihana on työsi jälleen.
