Why be boring when you can be "Flamazing" 💗

This week's word is 'Birds' at Take a Word Challenge.
The name 'flamingo' comes from Portuguese 'flamengo', flame-colored. Flamingos are very social birds; they live in colonies whose population can number in the thousands. They form strong pair bonds, although in large colonies flamingos sometimes change mates, because there are so many of them.
But my flamingos in the picture are a happy and faithful couple 😊

Flamingo-nimi tulee portugalinkielestä 'flamengo' liekinpunainen.
Ne ovat hyvin sosiaalisia lintuja ja asuvat suurina yhdyskuntina, joissa on tuhansia flamingoja. Niissä muodostetaan vahvoja parisuhteita - tosin joskus saattaa flamingo vaihtaa pariaan johtuen siitä, että siellä on niin paljon lintuja.
Mutta kuvassani oleva flamingo-pariskunta on uskollinen toisilleen 😊
