My digitally drawn and painted art journal work. I've earlier drawn the girl's head with digital drawing- and painting brushes of Photoshop with a mouse on the computer screen. She is the very first digital drawings, made 2015 in my Photoshop, and I named her Sarah. I've made Sarah's dress, butterfly and the bird on her head cutting them from the cardboards. 

Now I compounded the new background with digital collage technique with many image and overlay materials that I chose from my archive. I finished the page typing the quote and adding the frame.

Maaliskuun tuulet aamun haukotusta.' 

Digitaalisesti tekemäni art journal-sivu, jossa on aiemmin Fotosopin kynillä ja siveltimillä tietokoneen kuvaruudulla hiirellä piirtämäni tytön pää. Olen antanut hänelle nimen Sarah, ja hän on ensimmäisiä digitaalisesti piirtämiä/maalaamiani kuvia vuodelta 2015. Tein hänelle silloin mekon sekä perhosen ja linnun leikkaamalla ne kuviollisista pahveista. Nyt taustan koostin runsain arkistosta valitsemin materiaalein, ja viimeistelin työn kirjoittamalla mietteen ja lisäämällä kehyksen.

Favorite Flowers/Suosikkikukat

 I made my card to fit also in Mother's Day and the theme 'My Favorite Flowers at Sunday Postcard Art.

I love roses, because they are beautiful as well as they have a pleasant scent; not too strong to my allergy.

The card is hybrid, i.e. hand/and digitally made.

Ms.Spring/Neiti Kevät

 

My hybrid art journal page for the theme 'Spring forward' hosted by Chris at Art Journal Journey Challenge.

The hand made part of the work is the Ms. Spring's head, that I've painted and embellished by hand.

I designed and layered the page in Photoshop with the images that I chose from my archive, typed the words that are from the lyrics of the Finnish rock band 'Sir Elwoods', and added  the word 'Spring', that I made with the photoshop tools from a background paper of another work. There is peaking another Ms.Spring 😊

Easter Bonnet/Pääsiäishattu

 

My hybrid artwork for the theme 'Easter Bonnet' at Digital Whisper.

I cropped my hand with acrylics and oil pastels painted 'girl and birds' from my earlier made work, and set her on the 'Easter Bonnet' page with other Easter related elements. I made the background with the overlay material that I chose

 from my archive. There seems to be a some kind of conflict with the birds 😉

Hybrityöhöni irrotin tytön lintuineen aiemmin käsin maalaamastani akryyli/öljypastelli-työstäni. Lisäsin tytölle nyt pääsiäishatun sekä työhön muita teemaan liittyviä elementtejä. Taustan tein digitekniikalla arkistomateriaalistani. Näyttää olevan lintujen kesken jonkinlainen konflikti 😉

International Women's Day/Kansainvälinen Naistenpäivä

I made my card from my earlie hand on the crumbled paperback drawn and acrylics painted face, which I now altered painting it with digital brushes newly way in Photoshop, added some embellishments, typed the R.S.Grey's text, and added the old stamp of the Women's Day.

Tänään on Kansainvälinen Naistenpäivä, ja tein postikortin k.o. teemaan.

Muunsin aiemmin käsin tekemäni työn, jossa on kynällä ja akryyleillä rypistetylle paperille piirtämäni ja maalaamani nainen. Nyt annoin sille Fotosopissa valitsemani rakennetta muuttavan filtterin, maalasin siveltimillä lisää värejä, lisäsin elementtejä, postimerkin sekä tekstin: "Hän uskoi pystyvänsä, ja niin hän teki." - R.S.Grey.

In the flower field/Kukkaniityllä

 

        My hybrid art journal page for the theme 'Spring forward' hosted by Chris at Art Journal Journey this month.

I made the background from a flowerfield photo, that I altered with the digital filter that I chose in Photoshop.

 Then added my acrylics hand painted face that you see beneath. I made more some coloring with digital painting brushes onto the face, and finished the work with the sun and Dolly Parton's words: 

"You gotta bloom where you're planted."

So my girl beneath brokens to burst with the flowers.

Muunsin ensin kukkaniitty-valokuvan valitsemallani filtterillä Fotosopissa ja sitten annoin aiemmin käsin maalaamalleni kasvolle siellä maalaus siveltimillä lisää väriä. Näin kasvotkin puhkesivat myös kukkaan. 

Viimeistelin hybridi-työni kirjoittamalla Dolly Partonin viisaan mietteen:

Beneath you see my earlier hand painted girl, that I used in my above digitally created and layered work. Now she is reading a book in the flower field. I played with Photoshop's special typing tools and made the word 'Spring' with its digital teknik tools. If you click the page bigger, you see that there is also the girl's face 😊

I set my earlier acrylic hand painted girl face beneath on the new background that I made with the digital painting teknic, and adding other images chosen from my archive onto it. I think that the colors yellow and grass green bring best Spring in my mind.

I layered it in Photoshop with the image material, which are old Mischief Circus pictures from different sets and altered by me. I added some lighting effects on the BG and framed the card.
