I created this digital ajj-page with the collage technique in Photosop using the image material, that I chose from my archive. I made the colorful word FABRIC in Fotoshop, addded among others some stitchings figures, and typed: 

'Sewing is my therapy'.

Pink in mind of sewing/Pinkki ompelumielessä

My hybrid art journal page, that I created with my earlier handpainted girlface beneath, and the digital background that I designed in Photosop. 

 I cropped the porteait, chose the images with the nice texture from my archive, and made some typing and digital painting.

In memoriam of Frida Kahlo

She penned this in her diary just days before 

her death in July 1954 Mexico City.

I altered her self painting - one of her many others - in my Photoshop, and included the US-2024 stamp, and her words: 

"I hope the exit is joyful - and hope never to return."

Frida kirjoitti tämän päiväkirjaansa muutama päivä ennen kuolemaansa heinäkuussa 1954, Mexico Cityssä.

Muuntelin Fridan omakuvan - yhden niistä monista, jotka hän maalasi - fotosopissani; lisäsin taustakoristelun, tehosteet, US:ssa hänestä v. -24 painetun postimerkin, sekä kirjoitin hänen tekstinsä.

My hybrid art journal page that I created with my handmade background on the corrucated paperboard with the lace piece. I cropped my hand painted girl and set her on it, as well as the images chosen from my files. I finelined the journa work with Helen Christensen's words, and framed the work. You see the above  said material beneath.

Tein työn digitekniikalla käsin aiemmin tekemästäni materiaalista:

- taustana aaltopahville pitsillä koristelemani työ

- pääkuvana tyttö, jonka olen käsin maalannut acryylein

My hybrid art that I designed and layered in Photosop using my newist hand painted, not earlier published, girl portrait, which I now cropped out of its original BG, and set it on my new digitally made BG. I found from my archive a very old freebies and with them sent background offer with a nice fabric filters. I never odered them, but now used one and altered for this my hybrid page. You see originals beneath:

The digital background that I altered and used in my hybrid work above. I added on it more pictures, ribbons, the text, and effects.

My digitally in Photoshop designed and layered art journal page. I compounded it using collage techniques with the image material, that I chose from my archive.

There the little girl has difficulties to decide what kind of fabrics to choos for her new dress, that her mother promised to sew her. She is imagining also, what 

colours and figures may fit on her favorite toys, as well...

Koostin kertomuksen, missä pieni tyttö on vaikeuksissa päätöksenteossa - hänen pitäsi valita kangas uuten mekkoonsa, jonka äiti lupasi hänelle ommella. Tyttö kuvittelee samalla, miten ne sopisivat hänen lempi leluilleen...

Kuvamateriaalin valitsin arkistostani - todella vanhoja on joukossa.

 I found these different insects from my archive, and

I found the fact that also butterflies are categoralized into the insect group.

I hope some of these stay there in my archive, and are not welcomed to my place 🤔
