Old days travelling

 'To travel is to live'
I composed this art journal page digitally with pieces of my six earlier made works cutting them, and setting on a new background.
I finished the page typing the text on it.
I'm linking the page at Wendy's theme 'Vintage' at Art Journal Journey this month.
Thank you for looking and the comment.

'Matkustus on elämistä'
Tämän art journal-sivuni koostin aiemmin tekemistäni kuudesta työstä irrottamalla osia ja kokoamalla niistä tämän entisaikojen matkustamisesta kertovan sivun. Se menee teemaan 'Vintage'.
Kiva, kun poikkesit ja kommentoit.

  1. These must have been wonderful pages because these images are amazing. Travel some place far away now would be nice right now. The world is getting smaller in some ways so vintage travel must have been exciting. But of course, travel is still exciting, and will be once covid is over. Hope all is well with you my friend. Take care. And thank you for joining Wendy's challenge. Hugs-Erika

  4. What amazing pages you have stitched together digitally, Sirkkis. Like Erika, I can only imagine the beauty your previous works must have been. You have found some incredible vintage travel images for us. Those were the days when travel was limited to ships, rail, and coach. It must have been fascinating back then, because today, at least before Covid, the fun and novelty of travel was gone and travel was so incredibly ordinary. This truly DOES go back to a prior era where travel was exciting and adventurous. I love the idea and the theme. Thanks for sharing this with us at Art Journal Journey using Wendy's theme.

    1. Thank you dear ladies for the wonderful comments. I don't know if you noticed that there is the face of Mona Lisa and the famous detective Hercule Poirot 😀 and I have dressed the first gentleman with a hat and glasses. Mona Lisa got a cap from me, too 😊

  5. What a fabulous collection of pages you have given us to look at. I love them all. Poirot is a favourite programme of ours to watch, in fact I think we have run out of them now and are watching most for a second time. We went ast one of the hotels they used in one of his films the other day and will most likely go by it again this coming week.
I wonder how many people could fit in one carriage with those ladies by the Flying Scotsman - those dresses are huge.

  6. The Mona Lisa face was the first thing I saw, doesn't she look wonderful.. It's like she's ready to start a new adventure. Beautiful display, like an advertising poster for many great things in the past. So cleverly down in digi. Creative Hugs Tracey xx
