Vintage love

'Today is a brand new day'
'She had her head in the clouds, and stars in her eyes'

I made both pages of the spread separately and colored with digital brushes the dress and the hat of the women, and the flowers in the both pictures.
In the first page I used  the house, which I cropped from the book cover beneath. As you see the book is written by Margaret Mitchell. Its manuscript was found after her death. I've got the book long time ago, and used the house in several vintage works, because it's the charming Vintage style.

I'm linking my spread at the Art Journal Journey  Wendy's theme 'Vintage'.
Thank  you for visiting and the comment.
Vintage-teemaan tein aukeaman, jonka molempien sivujen kuvat tein erikseen  Maalasin digi-siveltimillä leidien puvun ja toisen naisen hatun sekä molempien kuvien kukat. Ensimmäisessä työssäni käytin oheistamani kirjan kannessa olevan talon kuvaa. Olen saanut kirjan kauan aikaa sitten.

I love how you created this page inside a book cover. The image is so clever Sirkkis. And perfect for Wendy's challenge. Thank you for joining us. And thanks too for introducing me to a new book also. It is rainy here today, and a little warmer. I'd rather go back to the nice temperatures of the last 2 days, cooler and sun. Hope you're having some beautiful weather-happy fall. Hugs-Erika

You make pure magic with your digital creations. Even before I read how you used that book cover for the background, I was impressed that everything was monotone, except for the pink accents. This is absolutely amazing, Sirkkis. And even better that you shared it with us at Art Journal Journey!

Oh Sirkkis, you have excelled yourself with this one. I love the sepia tones with just a hint of pink now and then. It is as if I have opened an old book that someone had years ago and they altered it with touches of lace, hearts and flowers because they wanted to gaze on these two scenes so much.
Very clever use of the house, which is perfect, as the background to your first page. It is seamless and I would not have known in a million years.
Hugs, Neet xx
