Every cloud has a silver line

Planning of these art journal pages started when I saw a picture of fun smiling faces of teacups. I couldn't imagine that inspired by them I created even a spread.
You often ship tea or coffee when you are reading a book. That theme lead me to collect several different images and background materials from my files, and I digitally made the layout of the pages. So there on the pages are now also human faces, and I am likin my double page spread on Erika's theme 'Let's face it' at Art Journal Journey .
Thank you for stopping by.
Have a happy weekend, the last of January 😀

  1. Those smiling teacups caught my eye right off the bat Sirkkis. They are really fun. I love this spread and what it is about. I need a smiley tea cup when I had tea and read in the late afternoon. Smile. Thanks so much for sharing this. It really is perfect! We have a huge snowstorm coming tomorrow. Luckily I can stay home and just watch it accumulate. Take care and stay warm my friend. Hugs-Erika

  2. The T cups are fabulous. I love the way you placed the faces in both pieces. Have a wonderful day today.

  3. The first thing I noticed were those winking tea cups. They were adorable images. And I really liked the other page, too. You did a marvelous job with these images. Upon closer inspection, I love how you used the eyes and face at the top of the page and the lace "tablecloth" at the bottom. These are two very clever and beautiful pages and just perfect for Erika's theme at Art Journal Journey, too!

  4. Those teacups look real fun and you couldn't help but smile on seeing them. Fantastic journal pages and images, thank you for linking to Erika's theme over at AJJ.
    Yvonne xx

  5. What absolutely delightful cups they are. I once had a Horlicks beaker that had a face on and I loved it. Your cups are special and they look so delicate - bone china I imagine.
Love how you built your pages around the cups. Beautiful images and I love the Sepia effect you have used with just a touch of other colour.
    Hugs, Neet xx

  6. Wow, both of these pages are wonderful! Great moods you are portraying and interesting faces! Love the addition of coffee cups too. I want that face one! Very cool art, Sirkkis. Hugz
