This is my mixed-media/art journal work, which I made using my hand painted acryl portrait 'Girl and Parrot' (below). Now I cropped it out from its background and made for it a new digitally composed background. I finished the page typing Sir Winston Churchill's quote: "When the eagles are silent, the parrots begin to jobber." I suppose that he has meant something political with his words, but anyway it fits on my illustration here.
I'm linking my page on Matilde's theme 'Birds' this month at Art Journal Journey Challenge this month.
Thank you for visiting.

I like your ladies Sirkkis. And I like the tropical feel to your page too. Nice quote too. This is another beautiful page for Matilde's challenge at AJJ. Birds are a great topic, aren't they? Hope the week is going well. Hugs-Erika
VastaaPoistaOh my gosh Sirkkis! Your paintings are fantastic! PLEASE do more.
VastaaPoistaFabulous piece of art work!
VastaaPoistaA stunning page Sirkkis, the original art of the lady looks beautiful, it must have take ages for you to crop before adding to the new background.
VastaaPoistaThank you for linking to Matilde's theme at AJJ.

OMG! I love this face and especially her hair. Very nice indeed. Will I see her on Friday Face Off. FFO?
VastaaPoistaGreat face and parrot, but when you put it all together with those fun words, it totally changes. Super cool, Sirkkis. Hugz
VastaaPoistaI was sure I left a comment on this journal entry, Sirkkis. I remember mentioning how much I like her hair. The parrot and girl went so well together, but the addition of that background and sentiment made it absolutely perfect. Thanks for sharing it with us for Matilde's theme at Art Journal Journey.
