The Frog Prince is a classical fairytale about a prince who is turned into a frog by an evil witch. In order to break the spell a good princess had to grant him one wish. Luckily the youngest princess in the kingdom came to play near the lake every day so the frog got he's chance to become a prince again. In most versions, the spell is broken by a kiss between the two.
The Frog Prince is based on the German folk tale by the Brothers Grimm.
I'm linking my digital page at Elle's theme 'Fairytales, Folklore & Fables - Tell me a story at Art Journal Journey this month.
Thank you for visiting.

'Prinssi ja Sammakko' - art journal-sivuni on satu prinssistä, jonka paha noita on muuttanut sammakoksi. Jotta loitsu murtuu, on hyvän prinsessan lausuttava sammakolle yksi toive. Useimmissa sadun versioissa loitsu väistyy, kun suudelma toteutuu näiden kahden välillä.
Tämä satu perustuu saksalaiseen Grimmin Veljesten kertomuksiin.
Very well done! I´ll join later.
VastaaPoistaOh, I know two endings to this tale. In one... no, I won´t tell.
Every Sunday we watch the fairy tale on TV and this one pops up in variations!
The King-Frogs from our balcony quack "hi!"
Excellent! So much beauty and it tells the story. Have a nice weekend.
VastaaPoistaOh I love this princess and her cute little frog. I wonder if she shall kiss him and turn him back into a prince? He looks like he doesn't believe it is going to happen. Thanks for sharing this with us for Elle's challenge at AJJ. Enjoy your Sunday Sirkkis. hugs-Erika
VastaaPoistaMukavaa sunnuntaita sinulle 😊🍂🍁🌞
Love this one Sirkkis, the frog prince and the princess look amazing. Does she kiss him eventually I wonder? Does he turn into a handsome prince or perhaps she turns into a frog? Thanks for joining me for the October theme at Art Journal Journey this month Elle/Empire of the Cat xx
VastaaPoistaI definitely wouldn't kiss a frog but I do love this page. Beautiful images, hugs, Chrisx
VastaaPoistaI love this page! You’ve told the whole story right there. And the art work is amazing.

This is absolutely incredible, Sirkkis. I remember that fairy tale from my childhood, too. Of course, mine wasn't as beautiful as your interpretation. Thank you for this great entry at Art Journal Journey using Elle's theme.
VastaaPoistaIt is always a pleasure to come and visit your blog Sirkkis. Today you have given us a beautiful piece linked to the story of the princess and the frog and I love how her beautiful face is superimposed on the castle. She looks as if she is ready for that kiss.
VastaaPoistaHugs, neet xx
Bravo!!! Great art. I have read that story as a child many times.
