My Mixed media/digital interpretation for the Erika's theme 'Seeing Red' at Art Journal Journey. This time I chose the color pink from the red color family, and used my hand with acrylics painted girl portrait on the green scenery. I digitally added it on the digital BG that I designed with digital elements and finished the page making the text for it. You see the original painting below. The word 'Peony' is stamped on it. The peony is over sized, sorry 😏, but on journal page it doesn't look so bad as it some way emphasizes the pink color, doesn't it.
'Girl and Peony'
Thank you for visiting.

'Tunne vaaleanpunaisen pionin tuoksu.'
I wish it was peony season already-smile. This is another lovely page Sirkkis. And by adding the grapes and typewriter keys this page has a bit of an exotic feel. Perhaps she is in Italy or Spain. Have a wonderful weekend, and thank you for joining us at AJJ with this beautiful piece. hugs-Erika
VastaaPoistaI love the big peony. It's such a lovely page.
VastaaPoistaIhana neitonen ja pinkki on ihanin punainen.
VastaaPoistaI have mixed feelings about this lovely journal page. First, it is beautiful and so well drawn. That makes me happy. But I miss my peony bush that I brought with me that had been my grandmother's for over 40 years. My next door neighbor dug it up and pitched it when he installed his fence. Regardless, this is a beautiful entry for Art Journal Journey using Erika's theme.
VastaaPoistaI'm sorry, Elizabeth for your beautiful old peony, that was dug up. Maybe you can plant new one!
