Black Swan/Musta joutsen

''Black Swan'
My digital fantasy art that is based on the fantastic world of ballet, and its memorable star ballerina Dame Margot Fonteyn(1919-1991).
She was an iconic and much loved figure, particularly after she was professionally paired with Russian dancer Rudolf Nurejev (1938-1993).

I love ballet especially the 'Swan Lake' that is the ballet composed by Pyotr Tchaikovsky.
It is one of the most popular ballets of all time.
Back to my creation: I composed it digitally for the 'Birds' theme.
I used Margot's lovely face as the face of my fantasy swan, that is the mix of a white and black swan, that I painted with digital painting brushes. I layered its background in Photoshop with the image and overlay material from my archive, and typed the Marilyn Monroe's quote:
'Trying to be someone else is a waste of the personal you are.'
I'm linking my art journal work at Art Journal Journey Challenge, the Mia's theme 'Birds'.
Thank you for looking.
🩰
Art journal-sivuni tein 'Linnut'-teemaan.
Kiitos käynnistä.

  4. That is an amazing idea Sirkkis. I love adding the ballerina's head to the swan. It is very dramatic that way, and the little swan near her...it must be her baby. Sorry I am late stopping by. It's been a busy week. I hope yours has been a good one. And thanks for joining Mia at AJJ. hugs-Erika
