PPF - Altered book pages

'Girl who loves books and red poppies'
For Paint Party Friday Week 26 Year 5
The girl's face was hand-drawn and coloured
with a pencil and oil pastels by me.
I altered an old book pages using a napkin with 'tear to pieces'-technique, made some colouring with oil pastels and adhered pieces of laces and the cut off print "Sky of Red Poppies", which is the cover of another book.
I finished the spread with the girl-drawing, the butterfly and
 the taped text:
"You cannot open a book without learning something",
by Confucius.
Thank you for looking and the time leaving a comment.
Happy PPF !

'Tyttö, joka rakastaa kirjoja ja punaisia unikkoja'
Vanhan kirjan aukeaman muuttamiseksi piirsin ensin tytön käsin lyijykynällä ja väritin öljypastelliliiduilla.
Käytin työssä servettiä "repimis-tekniikalla" ja korostin taustaa paikoin öljypastelleilla ja kiinnitin sille pitsipaloja sekä tulosteen "Punaisten unikkojen taivas" (toisen kirjan kansi). Viimeistelin työn liimaamalla siihen piirrokseni, perhosen ja Confuciuksen tekstin:
"Et voi avata kirjaa oppimatta jotain."
