Antique Shadow Box

This was made for the theme 'Shadow box' at Take a Word Challenge this week.

I composed my box with googled relics of the Egyptian antiquity.

The box is from my files. I cropped the statue from its original BG, set on the box, and made shadows for it. I finished the work making a stone textured and shadowed background and set two reliefs of Cleopatra VII on it. I hardly like to put this kind of box on my wall, although I like how it turns out here. Perhaps it fits some exhibition interior.

Teemana on jonkinlainen seinähyllykkö koriste-esineille, jossa pitäisi olla syvyys-vaikutelmaa. Tekemääni laatikkoon etsin netistä muinais-egyptiläisiä esineitä. Irrotin patsaan alkuperäisestä taustastaan ja asemoin laatikkoon. Tein patsaalle varjoja sekä kivirakenteisen taustan, jolle lisäsin Cleopatra VII:n reliefit. Tuskin kuitenkaan haluan tällaista laatikkoa muistoesineilleni, vaikka pidänkin siitä tässä yhteydessä. Ehkä se sopisi johonkin näyttelytilaan.
