Saint Patrick's Day is coming

Shamrock is associated with the Irish National Saint Patrick, who used the shamrock to explain the holy trinity with each leaf representing the Father, Son and Holly Spirit. 

The three leaves of a shamrock are also said to stand for faith, hope and love. A fourth leaf is where we get the luck from. 

In my Digital page there are both types of shamrocks. In the corner you see the 'Little green man', and it is referring to the Irish legend 'Leprechaun'.  The green color seems to be typical to Irish people.

Digityöni tein teemaan 'Apila'.

Apila yhdistetään irlantilaiseen kansallispyhimykseen Pyhään Patrikiin, joka käytti apilaa selittäessään pyhää kolminaisuutta, jossa kukin lehti edusti Isää, Poikaa ja Pyhää henkeä. Sanotaan myös, että lehdet tarkoittavat uskoa, toivoa ja rakkautta. Työssäni näet myös neliapilan, jonka sanotaan tuottavan löytäjälleen onnea. 'Pieni vihreä mies' yläkulmassa viittaa puolestaan erääseen irlantilaiseen legendaan.  

On pääteltävissä, että vihreä väri on irlantilaisille tärkeä väri.
