All my happiness and pain
The dark evening stars
and morning sky of blue
And I sent it in my letter to you
And I sent it in my letter to you"
- Bruce Springsteen
I made this digital art journal page for Art Journal Journey this month's theme 'Communication', which is chosen and hosted by Elle from the blog Empire of the Cat. My page was composed with web and freebie images using the collage and digital stamping techniques.
It's a bity we now a days write much less by hand, and most often send less personal web messages. They are of course good for the short and urgent communication. To get a hand written letter or card is a lovely surprise, isn't it.
Thank you for visiting.

Mukavaa alkanutta toukokuun viikkoa kaikille.
wonderful composition of elements, thought provoking!
VastaaPoistaI absolutely LOVE the beauty of the elements you used for this journal entry. It has such a long lost vintage feel to it, too. I worry that young people won't even know how to spell properly (r u going), much less remember the art of writing a real letter and mailing it. Thank you for this priceless gem you shared with us using Elle's theme at Art Journal Journey.
VastaaPoistaSadly letter writing is becoming a lost art for the younger generation. I truly love this Sirkiss. I'm sure this couple get lots of pleasure from writing and receiving letters. So pleased you joined us at AJJ with this, Hugs, Chrisx
VastaaPoistaI remember as a kid waiting for penpal letters to arrive. Too bad letter writing is about gone, but I guess we write a lot on the internet blogging. This is a gorgeous piece Sirkkis. The man is quite striking. I hope you had a nice May Day, and maybe not too bad of weather. Although as you said, with Covid maybe bead weather and being home wasn't quite so bad for the holiday. We've had so much wind and rain lately, but the rain is much needed. Happy new month my friend. Hugs-Erika
VastaaPoistaA fabulous take on the new AJJ theme, it was so exciting to wait for the postman to bring a letter it is becoming a forgotten method of communication these days.
VastaaPoistaStay safe and well.

What a gorgeous man she is writing to. Very dark and broody which makes him a bit of a man of mystery.
VastaaPoistaI like all the torn pieces of paper with the different handwriting on them and can just imagine her sat there with her cup of tea ink its fine bone china cup whilst writing to him.
A beautifully composed piece of art
Hugs, Neet xx
