There's no sun in the sky
Stormy weather
Since my man and I ain't together..."
- Ted Koehler/Dinah Washington
I created this digital art journal page with digital painting tools and effects, and altering images and typing lyrics, which is taken from the old evergreen that has been presented by many wonderful singers.
I used as main material beneath:
Here in Finland we don't have hurricanes, but strong winds enough to cut trees every autumn even in large areas in the forests - luckily not too often.
I'm linking the page at Art Journal Journey Challenge theme 'All kinds of weather', which is chosen and hosted by Chris this month. Thank you for visiting and the comment you kindly leave.

Syksy etenkin on aikaa, milloin myrskyt riehuvat täällä meilläkin.
Toivottavasti ei kovin voimakkaina tänä syksynä.
A beautiful moody page Sirkkis!
VastaaPoistaI agree with Alison, abovem that this is a very moody piece. Lovely and so fitting for the lyrics of the song. The song which is now going around and around in my head, oh dedar, I wish I knew all of the words.
VastaaPoistaYour lady is beautiful and so wistful standing there with the wind whipping her shawl around her.
Thank you for a lovely image
Hugs, Neet xx
That was brilliant to use the song lyrics as inspiration for your page Sirkkis. And your page is a beauty. She looks as though she could be the lady singing the song. Thanks so much for sharing at AJJ for Chris' challenge. Have a wonderful weekend ahead too. hugs-Erika
VastaaPoistayou created a lovely art piece!
VastaaPoistaTässä on suorastaan joatin lumoavaa - maiseman syvyys ja neidon harso - tuntuu kuin tuuli/myrsky ja luonnonvoimat olisivat juuri ottamassa otteeseensa!
VastaaPoistaIhanaa tutkailla taidettasi aamutuimaan! Iloa ja energiaa syksyiseen viikonloppuusi pimeydestä huolimatta!
Very beautiful and romantic.
VastaaPoistaI have no idea what happened to my comment - blogger just snatched it off me earlier today.
VastaaPoistaI love how you darkened this scene with your special effects. The windswept lady looks to be lost in her thoughts and not noticing the birds swirling in the sky. A beautiful page and a beautiful song - Thank you so, so much for sharing this at Art Journal Journey, Hugs, Chrisx
I'll be singing that song all day now. I could feel the force of the wind in this beautiful piece and I could feel the energy of the wind, too. You created a marvelous entry for Chris's theme at Art Journal Journey, dear.
VastaaPoistaUpea vaikuttava työ!
