Here we have had exceptionally cold now, and snow makes the journey slower.

    That's true with the quote, and it's snowing again here too, and it's cold!
    The frost and weather phenomena are fantastically depicted; I think the Ice Woman is magnificent!

    Now that quote is very true. It's really cold here this at my home this morning...-25 degrees C. We are having an old fashioned winter, and so your quote fits so well.
