'Every cloud has a silver lining.'
The page tells some gasps from my 'Life Book'.
It's made for the theme 'Sepia' at Three Muses Challenge this week.Image credits go to various sets of Mischief Circus.
I'm linking the pages also at the Art Journal Journey Challenge theme 'Hold the Line' chosen by Chris this month.
'A little newspaper boy'
I used a napkin for this page. I filtered, effected with rain, made some digital painting and shadowing, and added more images, texts and overlays on it. I finished the work with the newspaper frame.
Obviously the boy has sold well, and he has a dream...
Thank you for looking🧡

'Rakkautta ja piikkilankaa'' ja 'Pieni lehtipoika'
Tein digikollaasit teemaan 'Sepia-väri', mikä rajasi väriskaalan ainakin päävärin osalta ruskean-punaisen sävyyn.
Ensimmäinen työni 'Rakkautta ja piikkilankaa'/ 'Jokaisella pilvellä on hopeareunus' on Life Book-toteutukseni.
Tein toisen sivun käyttäen servettiä, jossa poika myy sanomalehtiä. Onni suosii poikaa. Filtteroin taustaan sateen, maalasin osittain digitaalisesti ja lisäsin varjostuksia, kuvia ja tekstin: 'Tämä on onnen paikkani.'
Ilmeisesti poika on myynyt lehtiä hyvin - ja hänellä on unelma...
Onnellista päivää toivotan myös sinulle🧡
Beautiful and so thought-provoking.
VastaaPoistaI just love that boy!!! Also the first collage, nice balance!!
VastaaPoistaTwo fabulous pages Sirkka, it's a stunning design on the first and that's a wonderful napkin put to good use on the second.

These are amazing Sirkkis. Wow. I love the book and chess pieces in the first page, and the little boy is adorable. To be standing in the rain like that. I hope his papers stay dry. Thanks so much for linking to ARt Journal Journey. Much appreciated. Hope your week is going well. Hugs-Erika
VastaaPoistaI love faces and especially eyes and these are so compelling. They look right into your soul! Love the colours you have used on here and the various pieces that build up the picture. So many stories can be woven into this piece.
VastaaPoistaLovely page with the little boy too - what a lovely picture this is with that beautiful looking child and the little bird that probably keeps him company whilst he sells his papers. Glad he is in his happy place.
Hugs, neet xx
I love both of these in so many different ways, Sirkkis. The first is awe inspiring and I keep going back for another look. The second is just so cut and BOTH are so well done. Loud applause from me.
VastaaPoistaBeautiful compositions Sirkkis!

VastaaPoistastunningly beautiful the 'A little newspaper boy' and the "Every cloud has a silver lining." The way you designed it is so beautiful! You bring a great emotional world into your art works.

It's such a joy to visit your blog and see what you've created for each challenge. I love your sepia work!
VastaaPoistaBoth are wonderful Sirkkis, each one in its own way.
VastaaPoistaBravo and Happy Halloween!
I was taken by the title. One doesn't often see love and barbed wire in the same title. These are incredible journal pages. The little boy who has sold his newspapers is so adorable. The woman superimposed over the bundle of letters is incredible. I really LOVE the faux sewing, too. It's a beautiful entry for Chris's theme at Art Journal Journey, Sirkkis.
