Lucian päivää vietetään meillä kuten myös Ruotsissa, Tanskassa ja Norjassa Pyhän Lucian muistoksi vuosittain 13. joulukuuta, ja se on myös vuoden lyhin päivä. Lucia tuo valoa talven pimeyteen.
