The Rock of Aphrodite in Cyprus

The Afrodite's Rock is the legend rock, one of the main and most visited attraction of the West coast of Cyprus. The stone is the birth place of the beautiful maiden emerging from the sea foam, goddess of beauty and love Afrodite.
I visited Cyprus first time in the summer 1980 with my son,
who was at the age of 13.
Cyprus is an island country located in the eastern Mediterranean Sea. it is geographically in West Asia, but culturally and geopolitically Southern Europe.
Cyprus has been under the British Empire, and that is why the English language is widely spoken by the Greeks who live there.
I have added on to the background page two photos taken there: The stone and photo from me. I had a possibility to be for a moment as Afrodite 😉

Limassol is the town where we were staying for two weeks at July. I must say that weather was too hot to me. When I visited Cyprus another time, I chose for my trip another town and later in the autumn.
I've altered my original bar photo splitting and altering it. I added the photo of my swimming son on the right side,
and I seem to be happy with my beer on the left side, as you see 😀
I'm linking this post at Art Journal Journey Chris's theme 'Where in the World?'.
Thank you for visiting.

'Afroditen kivi Kyproksella'

  4. Your pages are amazing. I can see how much you enjoyed Cypress, even if it was hot. You certainly looked cool in that bar with a beer. And your son looked like he was enjoying himself in the water. Thanks for this awesome entry you shared with us at AJJ using Chris's theme.
