Spring forward/Kevät edessä

My hybrid art journal page for the Chris's theme 'Spring forward' at Art Journal Journey Challenge this month.

I set my earlier acrylic hand painted girl face beneath on the new background that I made with the digital painting teknic, and adding other images chosen from my archive onto it. I think that the colors yellow and grass green bring best Spring in my mind.

My digitally designed postcard for the theme 'Horses' at Sunday Postcard Art.

I layered it in Photoshop with the image material, which are old Mischief Circus pictures from different sets and altered by me. I added some lighting effects on the BG and framed the card.

I created and compounded my digital collage page with the image material that was chosen from my archive, made all layering and effects, and typed the text in Photoshop with its tools.

My hybrid artwork that I created using my hand with ink pencils painted face. The pencils can be use dry or wet on wet or dry paper. I used dry paper. You see my original beneath

Now I cropped the face from my  hand painted background and set her in the new one that I made in Photoshop with the digital technique adding the digital elements and typed the Khan's quote.

Hybridi-työni, jossa käytin aiemmin käsin värikynillä maalaamaani kasvoa. Kyniä voi käyttää kuivina tai kosteina joko kostealle tai kuivalle paperille. Käytin kuivaa paperia. Irrotin kasvokuvan alkuperäisestä taustastaan ja tein sille nyt digitaalisesti uuden, johon lisäsin digitekniikalla kuvaelementtejä sekä kirjoitin tekstin:

My hybrid postcard for the theme 'Sympathy' at Sunday Postcard Art.

I've handpainted earlier the 'Girl and broken-winged bird' with colored pencils. You see it beneath, and now I used it digitally for my above card. I made in the photoshop the new background. I added the flock of birds, some overlays and typed the words of Bob Dylan, and framed it.

Symbolism of Diana/Diana-symboliikkaa

My digitally designed art journal page, that I layered in my photoshop program.

In the Roman mythology Goddess Diana symbolizes the untamed wilderness, and women, the hunt and dogs, crescent moon, serving as a protector of wildlife. She is depicted often with bow and arrow.

 I chose the image material from my archive and made their alterations and effect, as well as made the big word DIANA, that you see on the background paper; I made also some digital painting, and finished the work with text: 

'Symbolism of the Wild Animals associated with Goddess Diana.

Digitaalisesti suunnittelemani ja toteuttamani art journal-työni. 

Roomalaisessa mytologiassa Diana suojelee kesytöntä luontoa ja naisia; häneen liitetään usein symboleina metsästys, villieläimet, nuoli ja jousi, sekä kuunsirppi.

Kuvamateriaalin valitsin arkistostani ja tein layoutin, kuvien muuntelun ja tehosteet,  taustalla näkyvän sanan DIANA, sekä digitaalista maalausta  kuvankäsittelyn työkaluilla. Viimeistelin lisäämällä tekstin 'Symbolismia villieläimistä, jotka liittyvät Jumalatar Dianaan.'

Travelling journal/Matkapäiväkirja

Travellin journal of two ladies from vintage time. They are good friends and love to travel together. Now they are planning to take an interesting trip to Europe, France and Italy in April the 2nd 1948. They have planned to see at least the famous Eiffel tower in Paris and the leaning Tower in Pisa, Toscana area, Italy.

I created this digital art journal page using my old vintage image material from my archive. It is skrap like, and I think it fits in old vintage time.

Kahden ystävättären matkasuunnitelma vintage-aikakaudelta. Heillä on aikomus matkustaa Eurooppaan ja tutustua siellä ainakin Pariisin ja Pisan kaupunkeihin, ja nähdä kuuluisat Eiffel-torni Pariisissa ja Italiassa Toscanan alueella Pisan kaupungissa sen kuuluisa kalteva torni. Matka on suunnitteilla tehdä 2. huhtikuuta 1948.

 Toteutin layoutin fotosopissani vanhasta vintage skräppi-materiaalistani.
