'Every sunset offers a different story.'

My hybrid artwork that I designed and layered in Photoshop with its tools; I painted the original scenery photo partly with digital painting brushes, used my hand acrylics painted face, beneath,

 two different way on it, made the word 'sunset', and added the birds image, and typed the text.

'Jokainen auringonlasku tarjoaa eri tarinan.'

Hybridi-art journal-työni 'Maailman kauneus'-teemaan. 

Maalasin ensin maisemakuvaa digitaalisilla siveltimillä fotosopissa, lisäsin taustalle aiemmin käsinmaalaamani kasvon kahdella eri tavalla, tein 'sunset/auringonlasku'-sanan ja viimeistelin työni tekstillä.

Beauty of World's Nature/Maailman luonnon kauneus

'Nature never did betray the heart that loved her.' 

- William Wordsworth

I based my work on the 'Nature's beauty of the World'.

I digitally designed and layered this hybrid art journal work in Photoshop. I used my hand painted girl face, beneath, which I now decorated with many nature related images. Now I painted  the dress for her using painting brushes of the photoshop. 

I collaged the fantasy background of the journal page with many different pieces, overlays and pictures from my archive, and finished the work typing the quote.

Tämän fantasia/hybridi-art journal-työn tein fotosopissa 'Kaunis maailma'-teemaan.

Siinä on käsin maalaamani tytönkasvo, jonka ympäröin monin luontoon liittyvin kuvin. Tytölle maalasin nyt fotosopin digisiveltimillä mekon - siinäkin luontoaihetta. Taustan tein kollaasitekniikalla eilaisista luontoon liittyvistä layereista ja kuvista, jotka valitsin arkistostani.

"Neula ja lanka ruokkivat sieluani."

Hybridi-tekniikalla fotosopissa tekemäni art journal-työ. Käsintehtyä osuutta edustavat akryyleillä maalaamani tytöt mekkoinenen. Taustaan valitsin teemaan 'Kankaat, pitsi, nauhat' liittyvän kuvamateriaalin arkistostani.

An excellent fabric/Erinomainen kangas

My hybrid art Journal page for the theme 'Fabrics, lace and trims'. I layered it in Photoshop with the image material that was chosen from my achive. I used my handpainted girlface, which is one of the very first portraits I'v painted 2018. I admired an American mixed media artist Kelly Rae Roberts's art, and I painted my version of it. Later I've painted in my own various styles. In this case I made her with the simple clothes using digital paintingbrushes. I collaged on the background the fabrics and other elements that follow the theme. I finished the art journal work typing the text on the trim.

Hybridityöni 'Kangas, pitsi, nauhat'-teemaan. Suunnittelin ja toteutin sen fotosopissa arkistostani valitsemin kuvin. Käytin käsinmaalaamaani kasvokuvaa, joka on ensimmäisiä julkaisemiani käsin maalaamiani kasvoja. Ihailin amerikkalaisen mixedmediataiteilija Kelly Rae Roberts'in taidetta, ja tässä työssä seurailin hänen tyyliään. Myöhemmin rohkaistuin julkaisemaman omalla tyylilläni tekemiäni. Tässä työssä valitsin taustalle kangaspaloja, pitsiä, nauhaa, jotka digitaalisesti liitin työhöni. Viimeistelin ajj-hybridini y.o. tekstillä.

My hybrid art that I designed and layered in Photosop using my newist hand painted, not earlier published, girl portrait, which I now cropped out of its original BG, and set it on my new digitally made BG. I found from my archive a very old freebies and with them sent background offer with a nice fabric filters. I never odered them, but now used one and altered for this my hybrid page. You see originals beneath:

Hybridi-Art journal-työni 'Puut'-teemaan.

Fotosopissa liitin arkistostani valitsemaani taustakuvaan käsin akryyleillä maalaamastani 'Vihreäsilmäinen tyttö' maalauksesta kasvot. Tein tehosteita ja kirjoitin Vincen van Gogh'in mietteen: 

'Näen kaikkialla luonnossa, kuten puissa sielun.'

Elder Tree magick/Selja-puun taikaa

Trees are widely considered magical, spiritual or sentiment beings in many traditional folklore. Many cultures treat trees as living spirits or guardians, e.g. 'Elder Tree Mother' or 'Old Girl' is the spirit like a wood-nymph that lives in the elder tree, and is requiring permission to cut it to avoid misfortune.

I created my hybrid art journal page using as 'Elder Tree Mother' my hand painted face beneath:

'Black jacket girl'

I made som digital alterations in the portrait adding filtering and cutting out it's background and jacket.

The hybrid page's background was made in Photoshop with several layers and digital effects. The Elder Tree is a separate png- image, that I gave several effects and made alterations. 

I finished the work with typing the texts and adding some images like the wreath, bird, and overlays.

Monissa kansanperinteissä puihin yhdistyy magiikkaa, henkisyyttä ja tunnetta; useissa kulttuureissa pidetään puita elävinä olentoina sekä vartijoina.

 Esimerkiksi Selja-puuta kunnioitetaan ja kysytään siltä lupa katkoa tai kaataa, että vältytään epäonnelta elämässä. Puita kutsutaan nimillä kuin eläviä olentoja kuten 'Selja-puu Äiti' tai 'Selja-Tyttö'. Mustaseljasta tuli Skandinavian pyhäpuu.

Hybridi-työssäni käytin puu-nymfinä eli luonnonhengettärenä käsin maalaamaani kasvokuvaa irrotettuani se ensin taustastaan ja tehostamalla filtterillä. Laitoin sille lisäksi seppeleen päähän. 

Taustan tein digitaalisesti usealla kerrostumalla ja tehosteita lisäämällä. Selja-puu on erillinen pmg-kuva ja tehostin sitä samoin digitaalisesti sekä lisäsin linnun sekä kirjoitin tekstin 'Selja-puu Äiti' sekä ylös:

  'Selja-Tyttö anna minulle puutasi, niin annan omaani, kun kasvan puuksi.'

To Plant a Tree/Istuttaa puu
