Repurpose inspiration

I made this 'Inspiration of mine' using my earlier hand made, beneath being portrait. I have drawn and painted it with charcoal and acrylics on a crumbled paper bag. Now I cut the face from it, made the new background painting with digital painting brushes. You see the original background beneath. I finished the work adding the circle and butterfly images, and typing the text on the background.

I'm linking the face on the Nicole's/DVArtist theme FFO this week,
and on Bleubeard and Elizabeth's theme 'Recycle, Reuse and/or Repurpose' at Art Journal Journey this month.
Thank you for visiting, enjoy the weekend.

'Inspiraationi uutta tarkoitusta varten'
on hybridityöni, jonka tein käyttäen aiemmin maalaamaani muotokuvaa.

  1. I love the texture you created in her face. It's a great way to give her expressions and even a bit of age. Smile. I hope you've have a great week. And happy weekend to you. hugs-Erika

  2. I think the crumpled paper added to the texture you got. She looks much younger than her skin appears to look. This is a stunning entry, Sirkkis. I love that you used recycled materials to create this wonderful entry you gave us at Art Journal Journey using Bleubeard's and my theme. This is truly remarkable.

  7. Aivan ihana työ. Tykkään tuosta kasvojen "rosoisesta" pinnasta. Ihana ja lumoavan kaunis.

  8. I love this ... what digital app did you use? The original is lovely, but this final version is charming ...

  10. I agree with Chris above, she looks as if she has just stepped from a Jane Austen novel. What a lovely face and what fabulous texture you achieved.
