Symbolism of the Wild Animals

My hybrid art journal page for the Jo's theme 'Nature' at Art Journal Journey,
and the theme 'Symbol' of Millin at Teemakuun Kollaasit.
My interpretation is based on the Antique Mythology, especially on Diana, the Goddess of Forests and Wild animals (among other things).
I used my hand painted portrait as the face of Diana.

I'm linking the work also on the 'Face' theme at Nicole's Friday Face Off at DV Artist.
Thank you for visiting and have a wonderful weekend ahead.

Tämän hybridi-art journal-työn linkitän teemoihin 'Luonto', 'Symboli' ja 'Kasvot'. Sisältö perustuu roomalaiseen antiikin mytologiaan; lähinnä villieläimien ja luonnon suojeluun symboloituun antiikin jumalatar Dianaan. Käytin käsin maalaamaani muotokuvaa hybridissäni.
Hyvää viikonloppua.

  3. What a cool collage. And I love the connection to mythology too. I'm reading a book right now (Once a MOnster) about a greek monster-the minotaur- and a girl in LOndon in the 1860's. It's good, and it's fun to enter the realm of some mythology too. Happy weekend. hugs-Erika

    1. Thanks Erika. The Greek mythology evolved from stories told in the Minoan civilization of Crete, which flourished from about 3000 to 1100 BCE. But it it's started from centuries of oral tradition 🏺

  9. Eri eläin tuo omanlaisensa tunteen, samoin kuin kasvon ilmeetkin.
