To Plant a Tree/Istuttaa puu

'When one plants a tree, they plant themselves.'

 My hybrid art journal page for the challenge theme 'Trees' at Art Journal Journey hosted by Gillena this month. 

I designed it in Photoshop with the freebie background, the tree picture and my hand painted woman portrait that you see beneath. I added it with the layer mask technique onto the background, typed the quote, and added the frame.

Hybridi-työni 'Puut/Metsä'-teemaan.

Toteutin hybridi-työni fotosopissani lisäämällä käsin maalaamani muotokuva 'layeri-maski'-tekniikalla taustalle, ja viimeistelin art journal-työni tekstillä:

'Kun istuttaa puun, on kuin juurruttaisi itsensä.'

Shady Park/Varjoisa puisto

'The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shades you do not expect to sit.' -Nelson Henderson

My digital interpretation for the theme 'Trees'. 

I altered in Photoshop a photo of a park making the shade effects to the trees ; added from my archive the walking bird images, that I gave shadows, too; and added the flying flock of birds, and typed the thoughtful quote of Henderson.

I designed it with the freebie rabbit photo beneath, which I cropped from its background, and layered with the images chosen from my archive, made some drawing and effects, and finished with the overlays and text.

Forest as best friend/Metsä parhaana ystävänä

My hybrid art journal page with my earlier hand 'Owl in woods' colored pencil painting.

I placed it now in my new digitally in Photoshop made background that I gave a filter effect and added the images from my archive, and finished the work with the quote of Mehmet Murat Ildan.

Hybridi-työni, jossa keskellä on aiemmin käsin värikynillä maalaamani 'Pöllö metsässä'-työ. Tein nyt fotosopissa sille digitaalisesti taustan kuvista, jotka valitsin arkistostani. Lisäsin vielä maalaukselle kehyksen, taustalle tehostefiltterin sekä ylläolevan tekstin.

My hybrid art journal work created for the 'Trees'-theme hosted by Gillena at Art Journal Journey this month.

I created the page using my earlier watercolor painting 'Girl and roots' beneath, and for it in Photoshop now made digital background. The image material for it was chosen from my archive. I finalized the work typingn the texts.

Deep roots/Syvät juuret

My hybrid interpretation for the theme 'Spring forward' hosted by Chris at Art Journal Journey this March.

I've handpainted the girl portrait (beath), now made her the dress digitally with the stamping tools of Photoshop, set her in the green textile piece, and placed in my new background layout of this hybrid art journal page. The other images of the work are chosen from my archive, and the texts typed in Photoshop.

 Hybridi art journal työni teemaan 'Maaliskuu edessä'. Olen aiemmin käsin akryyleillä maalannut tytön kasvot, joille nyt tein fotoshopissa leimaustyökaluilla mekon, ja asemoin ne kangastilkulle. Tein teemaan digitaalisesti uuden taustan. Siihen kuvat valitsin arkistostani. Viimeistelin työn kirjoittamalla fotosopissa mietelauseet.
